.aider/
└── aider_instructions.md ← extended instructions

Key Setup Notes

  • Original AI pair-programmer — terminal first, git-integrated
  • Native rules via .aider.conf.yml and CONVENTIONS.md
  • gald3r engine uses CLI wrapper (uv run gald3r) to supplement MCP gap
  • Best for git-diff–driven workflows and large refactors

Known Gaps

Areas where gald3r's native capability is limited or absent on Aider. The engine compensates where possible via L1 — CLI Wrapper.

  • No MCP support — engine reaches platform via CLI wrapper (L1)
  • No SKILL.md discovery
  • Commands: partial — uses aider's built-in /commands, not @g-* style
  • Hooks: partial — limited to aider's native hook points
